I do not know or understand how Bulalakawnon could have gotten grouped with Hanunoo. I established in "The Western Subgroup of Bisayan" (Oceanic Linguistics 11.2:110-139) that it was an intimate part of the West Bisyan subgroup. This position was reiterated in my dissertation: The Bisayan Dialect of the Philippine: Subgrouping and Reconstruction. Cornell 1975; published as Pacific Linguistics C.44 (passim, but see pages: 180 (Table 44), 193 (Table 49), 259-265 (Chapter 11: Genetic Evidence for the West Bisayan Subgroup). The only connection that it has to Hanunoo is that the Hanunoo are located outside of the Bulalakaw area, to the north and west. Hanunoo is gentically in the South Mangyan subgroup of Philippine languages. Bulalakawnon is in the West Bisayan subgroup of Greater Central Philippine languages. Please make every effort to correct this. Sincerely, R. David Zorc (Ph.D.) AKA David Paul Zorc (on PL.C.44)
